(1) STEVEN ALAN does Annie Hall. I swoon but don’t like the color of shoe because I’m just that fancy. (2) STEVEN ALAN wants us to wear a Pendleton-esque jumper. I’m a Pacific NW girl and I loved the collaboration with Opening Ceremony but I’ll pass.
3. STEVEN ALAN scruffy guy. Yes please I’ll take two.

I love Jenni Kayne (1). She made one of my all time favorite dresses. It’s silk and the perfect shade of navy, bias cut with billowy sleeves. For fall 2011 there was more of this silk in drapey bias skirts and pants. The color palette was my favorite thus far with poppy cobalt blue, fuchsia and marigold (not the mustard so many other designers seemed to favor, which looks good on maybe 1% of the population).

I also loved these champagne looks (2 & 3).
The perfect California girl mix of comfortable ease and subtle sexiness. As in, “Oh hark! I’ll just throw this sweater on with my silk maxi skirt while my girlfriends and I mix some margaritas and play Scrabble, It’s getting a bit chilly here at the beach house.”
